New Project: 1979 Jeep CJ-5

We’re excited about our newest project: a 1979 Jeep CJ-5. The CJ (short for “Civilian Jeep”) is a public variation of the famous Willys Military Jeep from World War II.

According to Wikipedia, Willys introduced the first CJ prototype (the Willys CJ-2) in 1944. Seven variations under three corporations were produced until 1986. The CJ was replaced in 1987 with the introduction of the Jeep Wrangler.

The CJ-5 was produced from 1955 through 1984. Vehicles before 1964 are Willys CJ-5s; older than 1964 are Jeep CJ-5s.
